TheMicrosoft Azure Edge Devices (AED) teamis chartered with building hardware devices and software experiences that help our ecosystem of partners and customers leverage Azure to accelerate their creation and adoption of the next generation of connected, intelligent, and autonomous edge solutions. We work across a wide range of industries, partner types, device form factors, and service technologies to enable new application scenarios, provide in-depth business insights and safeguard the security and privacy of our customer/partners data.
Responsibilities
We are looking for a leader who thrives on working in a rewarding andfast paced start-up likeenvironment andhas a track record of leading innovative and impactful teams.The main objective of this organization is to ensure our customer’s success in using our edge AI devices. We partner closely across the Azure Edgeengineering, product management, and program managementteams to:
Design and build end-to-end solutions to validate (“dogfood”) our platform by identifying cliffs/gaps early in the product cycle.
Gather customer signals, both quantitatively and qualitatively, to create Product Requirements for our engineering teams.
Perform A/B testing upon our platform to provide data-driven evidence for innovation.
Grow a large and vibrant community of AI developers actively building and experimenting with our edge devices, creating new AI models, and using those to rapidly unlock customer value.
Interact directly with the Microsoft commercial sales teams to create customer and partner programs to assist our field sellers in solving our customer’s business scenarios.
Create in-depth partnerships for edge AI solutions via the key business leaders within Microsoft’s most strategic customers.
You will be responsible for thefollowingareas:
Drive End-to-End Product Validation
Design and implement open-source solutions for customers to immediately find value in Azure edge AI devices. These solutionswill be created specific for different industry segments (manufacturing, retail, healthcare, shipping/logistics, etc).
Use these open-source solutions as the first validation of our platform to identify cliffs/gaps in the customer or developer experiences.
Create and manage a framework for early A/B experimentation. Work in collaboration withthe Product Managementand Design teamsduring the creation of productrequirements to design andimplementearly prototyping and validation for planned products.
Outstanding Customer Obsession
Ensuring our customers are successful in solving their business scenarios using our edge AI platform. Define and execute Proof-of-Concept deployments which can scale to production level implementations.
Create scalable programmatic methods to listen and gather customer signals, converting this feedback into Product Requirements for the engineering and product teams.
Creation and execution of a unified customer acquisition funnel with common criteria across our internal edge devices teams.
Drive the creation of commercialization pipelines with Microsoft field sellers and joint account planning for our strategic customers.
Interact directly with AI developers via public forums, webinars, workshops, and Microsoft field sales-led events. Implement breadth motions to grow a large and vibrant third-party community of developers, AI models, tools, techniques and best practices.
Qualifications
RequiredQualifications
Outstanding customer obsessionand empathy for users.
Minimum of 10 years ofapplicableexperience in a technology-based product development role.
Proficient leadership skills demonstrated through the management of extensive global engineering and related teams.
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications
BSc or higher inSoftware,Computer Engineeringor equivalent required, MSc or PhD is highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills with an ability to clearly articulate and share your vision, ideas and plans with colleagues and to be able to deal constructively with opposing views or opinions.
Experience working with Design teams and designers.
